"Madrid are a difficult team to play against, but other teams are as well. It will be exciting to return to the Bernabéu but it’s a game of football," said the former Real coach.

Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti will make a return to the Bernabéu, where he was coach for two seasons and led the side to its 10th European Cup / Champions League title in 2013-14. with the aim of eliminating Real Madrid as he seeks to take Bayern back to the summit of Europe.

Ancelotti: "We want to win the Champions League"

“I know Real Madrid very well; it will be a very difficult tie. For me these will two special and emotional games. These days we know everything about each other, there are no surprises. The two games will be tough but we are full of confidence. We want to win the Champions League. We know it will be difficult but we can go through.”

"It's a game of football"

Ancelotti also opined that his intimate knowledge of his opponent would not be of any use across the two legs. “Madrid are a difficult team to play against, but other teams are as well. It will be exciting to return to the Bernabéu but it’s a game of football. We want to be the better side. I know all the teams in Europe well and my past at Madrid won’t be of any advantage. They are the current world champions and they have a great team, with great players and great coaches.”
