Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick against Bayern Munich on Tuesday saw him become the first player to bring up a century of goals in the Champions League proper.

The Real Madrid striker's treble at the Bernabéu helped the holders reach the semi-finals for the seventh season running with a 6-3 aggregate victory.

85 for Real Madrid, 15 for Manchester United

Ronaldo has netted 85 in Europe's premier club tournament since joining Real in 2009, having previously hit 15 during his six-year spell at Manchester United.

He also scored a further goal for United in the Champions League third qualifying round in August 2005, in a 3-0 win over Hungarian outfit Debrecen.

Ronaldo: 103 goals in European competitions

The Real ace is now on 103 strikes in total in European club competitions, having brought up his overall continental century in last week's first leg with Bayern.
