Storm alert in Texas: What areas may experience tornadoes and flooding on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28?

Severe weather continues this weekend in Texas with storms that may trigger flash flooding. Additionally, some areas could experience tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center, a “regional outbreak of severe weather is possible across the Plains and mid-Mississippi Valley this week.

In addition, the NWS reported that numerous severe thunderstorms are possible in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas and northern Texas. Strong, long-track tornadoes, very large hail, and thunderstorms are also likely. and damaging winds.

The risk of severe weather will continue through tomorrow, Sunday, April 28, in parts of the Midwest and parts of East Texas. “Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will be possible. Stay weather aware and check back for forecast updates.”

Areas affected by rains and flooding in Texas

The National Weather Service has indicated that tornadoes and strong storms are possible overnight this Saturday.

The highest risk for severe weather is in the Hill Country and western Austin metro area. Additionally, there are much greater severe weather concerns to our north through northern Texas and into Oklahoma.

On the other hand, a flood watch is in effect for much of North and Central Texas until Sunday afternoon.
