Thanks to Boston grocery magnate Charles Adams, the NHL expanded to the United States. Adams convinced the league to grant him a franchise for Boston, and on October 13, 1924, the Bruins were born. They became one of the NHL’s first expansion teams and the first American-based team.

They were part of the NHL’s Original Six, along with the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. In all the Boston Bruins have a storied history in the NHL, and they’ve won the Stanley Cup a total of six times.

But when was the last time the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup?

The Bruins’ most recent Stanley Cup triumph occurred in the 2010-2011. The Bruins have appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals 19 times in total

Boston faced the Vancouver Canucks in a thrilling seven-game series. Tim Thomas, the Bruins’ exceptional goaltender, stood tall, allowing only eight goals in the entire series. Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and Zdeno Chara contributed both offensively and defensively. Nathan Horton’s memorable Game 7 goal secured the Cup for Boston.

Unfortunately, they last lost in the Finals during the 2018-19 season to the St. Louis Blues in a seven-game series. Despite their impressive track record, the Bruins have never won consecutive Stanley Cups. Nevertheless, their legacy remains strong, and fans continue to cheer for their success on the ice.
