Former Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov once again wasn't pulling any punches as he gave an interview to Esports Cope on Wednesday.
Stoichkov was asked about recent rumours linking Barça's arch rivals Real Madrid with an attempt to sign Azulgrana ace Neymar, and he dismissed the talk in forthright terms - appearing to aim a dig at Luis Figo, who controversially swapped the Camp Nou for the Bernabéu in 2000.
Neymar: "I think he'll win the Ballon d'Or in a Barça shirt; he won't be another Judas. He's a smart lad, he knows that this is his club."
Barcelona in pole position to claim the La Liga title: "They're doing a great job, both the team and the coaches. Four points ahead [of Real Madrid] and three clear of another [second-place Atlético Madrid], with a game in hand... It's a significant lead and they're closing in."
Copa del Rey and Barça's huge semi-final first-leg win: "They're closing in on the Copa too. I was surprised by how badly Valencia played."
Pep Guardiola's appointment at Manchester City: "It's an important step for Guardiola, a chance for him to enjoy the experience of another league and see how it turns out."
