Cristiano Ronaldo's mother: "He's at 80%, I think he'll make the Manchester City return leg"

"Why does he always want to play? He just always does, and he's very strong-willed, he's happy at Real Madrid, he wants to end his career there."

Dolores Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo's mother, spoke at the release of her autobiography entitled 'A mother's courage', written by Paulo Sousa. The Real Madrid striker was not present at the event but but his mother answered questions about the injury that kept him out of the Champions League semi-final first leg in Manchester.

The madre of the madridista was optimistic about his return for the all-important second leg at the Bernabeu on May 4: "He's fine, he's not at one hundred percent, but he's at about 80. I think he'll be back next week".

Aveiro also spoke about he son's insatiable desire to play every single game: "He's someone who always wants more, and it's very hard to say no to him, he's strong-willed. He's always working, he always wants more, he's a chip off the old block! His future? He's happy here, he wants to finish his career at Real Madrid".

Aveiro also went into her reasons for releasing this book: "It was a family decision, I didn't make it alone. It was difficult because the whole world knows Cristiano. He didn't like it that everyone was going to learn about his mother's suffering, but he understands that it's something that can help other women."

"I wanted to tell this story so that women will think twice before aborting. I thought about having an abortion because I had three kids to raise, it was a very difficult situation in the house. This book isn't about improving Cristiano's image. He's a bit proud, but he's a great friend to his friends. He does everything for his family and friends".
