Morata: why did the striker have Ramos shave his head?

Spain defender Sergio Ramos has posted a video of the moment he gave Álvaro Morata a new look ahead of Euro 2016.

Spain get their Euro 2016 campaign underway against the Czech Republic on Monday, and one man aiming to be 'razor sharp' in front of goal is striker Álvaro Morata.

The Juventus ace, whose club future is at the centre of intense speculation, went for a new close-cropped haircut on Thursday - with La Roja team-mate Sergio Ramos manning the clippers.

And Ramos took to his Instagram account to post a video of the moment he shaved Morata's locks off, before the forward later explained the reasons behind the fresh look.

"Let's hope it brings us luck"

"Two years ago Ramos cut my hair, and just after that, I started scoring lots of goals and so did he - it brought us good luck," said Morata.

"We're quite superstitious so we decided to do it again, let's hope it brings us luck again."
