Premier League fixtures announced for season 2016/17

Champions Leicester City will face newly promoted Hull City as they look to defend their most unlikely title. Liverpool travel to Arsenal in the opening day's biggest game.

It's the day every fan loves and for those supporters of clubs in the English Premier League it is here...the fixtures for the upcoming season.

The Premier League have announced all the fixtures for the 2016/17 season and although these will be tweaked somewhat for TV scheduling, European competition etc, the opening day has thrown up a cracker - Arsenal vs Liverpool.

There is so much to have people excited about for the new season: new managers (Conte at Chelsea, José at Manchester United, Pep at City and Koeman at Everton), Klopp's first full season at Liverpool, and of course, all eyes will be on title holders Leicester City.

Ranieri's men will head to newly promoted Hull City on the first day, 13 August, hoping to get off to a flyer. The rest of the opening day games are:

Chelsea v West Ham United

Crystal Palace v West Bromwich Albion

Everton v Tottenham Hotspur

Hull City v Leicester City

Manchester City v Sunderland

Middlesbrough v Stoke City

Southampton v Watford

A lot of the talk has been about Pep and José, reigniting their Barça v Madrid rivalry by taking hold of both the Manchester clubs. And we won't have to wait long to see them lock horns with their first meeting on the 10 September at Old Trafford.
