Sergio Busquets spoke about the "positive aura" that surrounds the Spain squad in France ahead of Friday's game against Turkey, defended club team mate Arda Turan and said that not winning Euro 2016 "wouldn't be a fiasco".

Would it be a disaster if Spain don't win Euro 2016?

A disaster no, but we don't want to go through anything similar to what happened at the last World Cup. Only one team can win the Euros, but we have come here with the intention of playing a dignified role in the tournament and if we go on to win it, then great. What we did in Brazil hasn't even entered our heads and at the moment, we are heading in a different direction. We have a great group here, the atmosphere among us is fabulous and we hope it stayed like that. The important thing is the next game.

How's the atmosphere in the squad?

It's great. It all contributes to making things as best as it can be and that's what counts. Jordi and Sergio, at the end of the day we are all team mates and both are examples for everything they've fought for and achieved - that's difficult for those on the outside to see. That's the nice things about this Spain side, the great atmosphere we have - one which we lost for a while but now all of that is forgotten.

Arda has been on the receiving end of criticism in Turkey; has he mentioned anything to you?

I haven't spoken to him since we've been here. But he made all the difference for his team in qualifying. He's had to deal with a lot of criticism and that the hardest thing for any player. He has given a lot for his national team and when you get slaughtered for one bad, it's hard to take. You have a feeling of helplessness. We all know about his quality and what he's capable of doing; we'll need to keep a close eye on him because he's one of the players who make a real difference for Turkey.

Has winning the first game taken the pressure off?

Winning your opening game always takes some of the pressure off. The Euros are different to the World Cup because even finishing third you can still make the next round. We've experienced drawing or losing the first game in the past, but that didn't generate doubts for us - only the press and the fans. That's what creates presure. I wouldn't say we are totally relaxed but we are certainly calm.
