André Gomes: Barça signing could cost up to 70m euros
The Spanish champions announced an agreement for the Valencia midfielder on Thursday, with a raft of add-ons to be included in the deal.
Barcelona's signing of André Gomes could end up costing the Catalan club as much as 70 million euros.
Los Azulgranas confirmed on Thursday evening that a deal had been reached over the Valencia midfielder's transfer to the Camp Nou.
35 million euros + a host of add-ons
And, according to sources close to Valencia and the player, Barça have verbally agreed a 35-million-euro fee with Los Che, plus another 20 million in add-ons thought certain to be activated.
On top of that, Gomes' switch to the LaLiga champions includes a possible extra 15 million bound up in a further set of performance-related clauses.
Players to move in the opposite direction?
Valencia are also negotiating with Barcelona with a view to players going the other way - either permanently or on loan - with discussions centring on Martín Montoya, Cristian Tello and Sergi Samper.
