The transfer of Jesé from Real Madrid to PSG is now a given in most outlets, with the winger expected to complete a 25 million euro move in the coming days. However, L’Equipe have revealed a curious clause in the player’s contract. The French daily reports that the two clubs have agreed to a stipulation that PSG can never re-sell Jesé to Barcelona.

Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that negotiations are at an advanced stage. However, Real have not completely discarded the idea of bringing Jesé back into the fold at a later date if increased playing time sees him return to the level he reached in early 2014, before a cruciate ligament injury sidelined him for nine months. Zidane even suggested in a press conference this week that Jesé could come back after a year.

That is the issue that is holding up the deal. Real are keen on a one-year loan deal, partly because of the threat of a Fifa ban on signing players in 2017. Failing that, Real want to insert their habitual buy-back clause into the contract, something that PSG are not keen on.
