EuroMillions jackpot of 130 million euros

This Friday, the EuroMillions jackpot is an eye-watering, bank-busting 130 million euros; which got us thinking about how good a team you could buy if your numbers came up and you decided to forego the private island, the yacht, the Porsche and the house in Alps.

EuroMillions jackpot is 130 million euros this Friday...

AS English EuroMillions Liga side

So here it is, the AS English EuroMillions Liga side. The crazy thing is that nowadays 130 million euros won't buy you anything like a team of out and out superstars. In fact you'd need to blow almost your whole 130 million euro stash just to buy Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo or Barcelona's Leo Messi. (Ronaldo's currently worth 110 million euros, while Messi would set you back 120 million, and that's according to TransferMarkt - don't argue with us!).

Our team is handpicked from players plying their trade in Spain, and with the side we've gone for they'll be lining up in a 4-1-3-2 formation. All values are current TransferMarkt amounts.

Disclaimer: If you do win the EuroMillions jackpot and buy this lot, remember you'll also need to pay their wages afterwards, so hopefully you've got some savings of your own.

Here's the lowdown on our choice players:

No 1: Adán - €6M

Following a brief spell with Serie A side Cagliari, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper has regained the No. 1 position at Real Betis having convinced new coach Gus Poyet of his ability playing in every LaLiga game for "Los Verdiblancos" in the current campaign. The 29 year old is a great shot stopper with an excellent aerial presence.

No. 2 : Sergi Roberto - €20M

Filling the void at right back in the Barcelona team following Dani Alves' departure to Juventus was never going to be easy however in Sergi Roberto Luis Enrique appears to have found the perfect solution. The 20 year old was nominated MVP by LaLiga for his stellar performance in Barça's 5-0 in Gijon against Sporting this weekend.

Sergi Roberto will be flying down the wing for EuroMillions FC

No. 5: Laporte - €20M

Already high on the "wish-list" of many European clubs with deep pockets, Athletic were quick to renew the Agen born defender in a deal that runs through to 2019 with a 50 million euro buy-out clause (but we're reckoning we'd convince Athletic to sell for less, though it might be even harder now he's had a call up for France).

Laporte - we'll struggle to get him within our budget.

No. 6: Musacchio - €15M

Since arriving at Villarreal from River Plate at the age of 19 the Argentine has made over 200 appearances for the "Yellow Submarine". A highly sought after Argentine international, the 26 year old was close to moving to Inter Milan this summer, but we'll be delighted to take him for our side.

Musacchio will cost us 15 million shiny euro coins

No. 3: Wass - €10M

The versatile 27 year old can play at right back, left back and on occasion for Celta has been used as a right winger. Wass has represented Denmark at every level and bagged two goals for the Galician side in his first season (2015-16) at Balaidos.

Wass celebrates with Sisto, but he'll be hugging Vitolo once we've bought him.

No. 4: Trashorras - €0.5M

Securing the award for most effective passer in Spain's top flight for two successive seasons is a major accolade for the veteran play-maker. Despite relegation, Rayo's captain pledged allegiance to the side in the lower division and already is topping the passing statistic charts in Spain's second tier with Rayo Vallecano. He's our out and out bargain player, a snip at just 500 grand.

Our bargain player, Trashorras. But what accuracy!

No. 8: Saúl - €25M

Our most expensive player, he's only 21 but already a full Spain international, Saul has made himself a regular in the Atleti line up with his assured style of play, distribution, mobility and ability to get amongst the goals. Possibly Simeone's most versatile squad member with the Elche born player able to play at centre back, holding centre midfield and just behind the strikers.

Saúl controls the ball against Bayern for Atleti.

No. 11: Vitolo - €15M

Despite being right footed, Vitolo has made the left wing position at the Sanchez Pizjuan his own since his move in 2013 from Las Palmas to Sevilla. His surging runs and explosive pace have make him a constant scourge for rival defenders and the 26 has managed a haul of 12 goals for the Andalusian outfit.

Vitolo on the charge.

No. 7: Asensio - €12M

After making his breakthrough with his local club Mallorca, Real Madrid swooped in 2014 for the player before then loaning him out to Espanyol for the 2015/16 season. An impressive pre-season campaign was enough to convince Zidane that the explosive attacking talent had a future with the Madrid first team squad. He'll suit us nicely out on the right of midfield thank you.

Asensio is a bargain for 12 million euros

No. 9 : Aduriz - €3M

Teams on a limited budget tend to be a mix of youth and experience, and they don't come much more experienced than Aduriz. The veteran striker has exploded in his mid 30's with the 2015/16 being a particularly vintage campaign for the Basque forward. Top Spanish scorer in LaLiga with 20 goals, the San Sebastian born player was re-called back into the Spanish national team by Vicente del Bosque. And yet he's ours for just €3M - delightful.

Aduriz, still going strong.

No. 10 : Leo Baptistao - €3.5M

The Brazilian born striker burst onto the scene with Rayo Vallecano in the 2012/13 season and a big money move to Atlético Madrid ensued. However, the still only 24 year old has so far failed to fulfill his huge potential after loan deals to Betis, Rayo and Villarreal. Fortunes look set to change and a move to new club Espanyol has already seen the goal hungry, predatory Baptistao impress.
