Tyson Fury tests positive for cocaine and could lose belts

Tyson Fury – the world heavyweight boxing champion who pulled out of an October 29 rematch with Wladimir Klitschko last week – has tested positive for cocaine, according to ESPN.
VADA test failed
Fury’s promoters had cited that the English boxer was “medically unfit” when they cancelled the Klitschko fight, but it is now reported – thanks to multiple ESPN sources – that he in fact failed a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA)-conducted drugs test in a random urine sample collected on September 22.

Belts in the balance
While there in no official announcement from VADA (tests results are yet to be fully completed), a positive cocaine test likely will result in Fury being stripped of his WBA, WBO and IBF belts if the allegations are confirmed.
