With Man City drawing at Borussia Mönchengladbach, the victory not only sealed the Catalans' spot in the last 16, but also sends them through as group winners.
A century of goals in international competitions
And Messi's second goal of the night saw him reach 100 for Barça in international competitions (Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup).
The Argentina captain has netted 92 for Los Azulgranas in Europe's premier club tournament, in addition to three in the Super Cup and five in the Club World Cup.
