Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard is set for a loan move to Eredivisie outfit SC Heerenveen, according to reports in the Netherlands.
Heerenven closing in on starlet
Newspaper Leeuwarder Courant says a deal has all but been reached to see the Norwegian attacking midfielder, 18, join the Dutch club until the end of the season.
Odegaard has trained regularly with the Real Madrid first team since his January 2015 move to the Bernabéu. JESUS AGUILERA (DIARIO AS)
Odegaard has played for Real's 'B' team since moving to the Bernabéu in 2015 and, with no immediate prospect of first-team football at Los Blancos, the club have sought to loan the ex-Stromsgodset man out to gain experience.
Odegaard also a target for Ajax
Having seen a temporary switch to Ligue 1 side Rennes fall through, he was also linked with Ajax, but Heerenveen now seem to be favourites to secure his services.
