Three years ago in team colours
Twenty-one-year-old Renato Di Giovanni, was murdered in broad daylight in Naples, according to Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport. It was only three years ago when the potential young star was playing with the youth team in the colours of the club he supported but two gunmen ended his life in this latest attack Italy.
Reports suggest that Di Giovanni was outside a church in the Soccavo area of the city when two men on a motorcycle fired multiple shots before driving away. The injuries sustained proved fatal and the young man died at the scene.

Criminal and ultra links likely the motive
Di Giovanni had previous drug-related offences to his name and he was also believed to have fought with the club's ultras. He was also the godson of Alberto Mattera, a well-known figure in the Napoli ultras.
