2017 January transfer window: latest news
22:33 | Coach Fabio Cannavaro let slip that Alexandre Pato has completed his move to Tianjin Quanjian and has already trained with his new club. No official word from either Villarreal or Tianjin Quanjian yet but looks like the Chinese Super League outfit bowed to the player's wage demands.
21:55 | Left-back Héctor Hernández becomes the second Real Sociedad player to be loaned out during the winter window, following Rubén Pardo's move to Betis. Both are keen on getting more playing time and Eusebio said just the other day that he wouldn't be standing in their way. With Sanse promise Kevin Rodrigues, who was excellent against Real Madrid yesterday, the coach feels the left-back position is well covered.
21:16 | Swansea manager Paul Clement has been impressed by Deportivo de la Coruña and Spain youth international centre-back Pablo Insua who is currently on loan at Leganés. Luring him away from the Butarque on deadline day won't be an easy task... Read more on the 23-year-old and how Clement may be able to get his man here.
20:35 | Sunderland boss David Moyes has raided former club Everton to take Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo to the relegation-threatened Premier League outfit.
19:55 | Sporting CP winger Gelson Martins has been the subject of interest from clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona, but is set to commit his future to the Portuguese side.
18:55 | Walter Montoya has completed his move to LaLiga side Sevilla from Rosario Central, the Argentine midfielder putting pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal.
18:50 | Athletic Club striker Kike Sola has been loaned out to second-tier outfit CD Numancia until the end of the season, it has been confirmed.
17:26 | Villarreal are prepared to go head-to-head with Liverpool to prise talented Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun away from Rostov. To do so, they will need a cash injection and that depends on Pato's proposed move to China.
17:15 | UD Las Palmas chief Miguel Ángel Ramírez has told Spanish radio that a loan deal for Jesé Rodríguez is "practically done" and that the LaLiga side expect to unveil the PSG forward on Tuesday.
15:40 | Atlético Madrid youngster Theo Hernández has been a revelation on loan at Alavés this season, and is now very much part of Diego Simeone's plans for next term.
15:35 | Real Betis left-back Riza Durmisi has aroused the attention of several clubs in England and Germany and the player admitted knowing about interest from Liverpool, who are looking for alternatives to James Milner and Alberto Moreno.
13:50 | Here's more on the news that Patrick Van Aanholt has joined Palace.
13:30 | Done deal: Big Sam welcomes in Patrick Van Aanholt from Sunderland to help Crystal Palace fight of relegation against teams like, er, Sunderland.
13:15 | There was a familar face in the arrivals lounge at Alicante airport late last night. José Rodríguez is back in Spain and drove down to Málaga for his medical revision this morning. The ex-Real Madrid midfielder is due to complete his move from Mainz 05 today.
12:30 | Real Madrid have apparently noticed that there isn't much behind Marcelo in the left back position while Nacho has been needed elsewhere of late and La Gazzetta reports that Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam may be just the chap the Bernabéu board have in mind to resolve that issue.
11:15 | Praise be! After possibly the most underwhelming transfer "saga" in recent memory, Jesé Rodríguez has made the tricky decision to turn down six months in Middlesbrough for a return to the Canary Islands with Las Palmas. To be fair, if Quique Setién can reignite the former Real Madrid forward's career and do the same with Barça cast-off Alen Halilovic (while also encouraging a sensible short back and sides), this will have been a tidy little window for the Cantabrian schemer.
10:40 | After the joy that he brought to Hammers' fans, Dimitri Payet has done one and returned to Marseille leaving the London club with 25 million pounds to spend on Robert Snodgrass and...
09:00 | Not much about this Monday morning folks... We've got José Rodríguez rocking up in Málaga to sign for the Boquerones on loan from Mainz until the end of the season. You may remember Rodríguez from his time at Real Madrid, Depor or Galatasaray, or like us you might always mistake him for the brother of the "other" Rodríguez formerly of the Bernabéu.
