Real Madrid have loaned Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva back to former side Cruzeiro until June 2018, both clubs have confirmed.
Joined Real from Cruzeiro two years ago
The 23-year-old was signed by Real from the Brasileiro Série A team in a 14m-euro transfer in January 2015, but has made just nine appearances for Los Blancos.
After half a season in Madrid, Silva was sent out on loan to Marseille for the 2015/16 campaign, playing 33 times in a disappointing stint in Ligue 1.

Failed medical at Sporting CP
He had appeared set for a temporary switch to Portuguese side Sporting CP in the summer, before the detection of a minor heart issue scuppered the deal.
After a period out of action due to the problem - a cardiac arrhythmia - he was given the all-clear by Real doctors to resume training in October.
