To sign on until end of 2016/17 campaign

Samaras, seen here in action against Barcelona, had a successful stint at Celtic between 2008 and 2014.

The 31-year-old is expected to arrive in the city for a medical on Monday, having agreed to sign for Los Maños despite late interest from NASL side New York Cosmos.

The ex-Greece international, who has also had spells at Heerenveen, West Brom and Al-Hilal, is then scheduled to be unveiled at La Romareda on Tuesday.
