Scottish referee Willie Collum will be the man in the middle in the BayArena on Tuesday when Leverkusen host Atlético in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie between the sides.
Leverkusen and Atlético have met on four occasions in the competition previously, with the results perfectly balanced: one victory each, two draws and three goals for each side.
Collum, a teacher by trade, was promoted to the Uefa elite category in July 2012 and will be assisted by his compatriots David McGeachie and Francis Connor.
The Scotsman has whistled an Atlético match in the Champions League on two occasions, in 2014-15 in the San Siro when Juventus and Atleti drew 0-0, and in 2013-14 when the colchoneros hosted Zenit St Petersburg in a 3-1 win. Both matches were in the group stage of the competition.
This season, Collum was in charge when Real Madrid beat Sporting 2-1 at the José Alvalade in the group stage.
