Atlético Madrid midfielder Saúl Ñíguez discussed the task ahead as his side hosts Barcelona at the Vicente Calderón on Sunday (16:15 CET).
An epic battle awaits
"We know Barcelona well; we know it will be a very, very tough game. Getting a win would be great for us and would move us closer to our goal," he told #LaPreguntaMahou, a space for fans to put their questions to the rojiblanco players.
Saúl also talked about scoring against Bayer Leverkusen in the BayArena, the ground where he suffered a kidney trauma and internal bleeding after receiving a knock in the ribs.
"It was a really emotional goal and it also put us in front. For me it was very special. Two years ago was the worst moment of my career, for both me and my family," he said.
Wearing the red and white
The Atleti midfielder finished by talking about what it meant to play for Atlético.
"For every youth team player playing for the first team and fighting for these colours is really special. Seeing that Atlético Madrid put their faith in me and being able to enjoy wearing the shirt now is really special," he concluded.
