Jesé back in Madrid out to finally arrive at Las Palmas

Update:

Jesé returns to Bernabéu

Jesé Rodríguez's move to Las Palmas hasn't been all he'd have hoped for so far. Having struggled at Paris Saint-Germain, the Real Madrid youth product wasn't up for the Premier League, where Aitor Karanka's Middlesbrough were keen, instead preferring the sanctuary of a division he knows well, a region he grew up in and the love of a fanbase desperate to see him be a success.

Things haven't gone his way in front of goal - his opening appearances have brought the odd missed sitter - and his arrival has coincided with the team's worst run of the season. There are more than a few observers who feel his signing has upset the balance of the squad's ecosystem. Against Real at the Bernabéu, he'll be dying to get a few monkeys off his back.

Isco, Morata and Benzema

Isco and Álvaro Morata hit the nail on the head at Villarreal when cameras caught them on the bench jokingly defining themselves as dishes to be served after the main course. The playing time isn't being shared out fairly at Real Madrid and, above all, bears little relation to the respective cases being made out on the field.

However, Real boss Zinedine Zidane did finally see what his side needed at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Isco brought improved play between the lines, managed the team's tempo and even contributed ball-winning abilities in the build-up to the decisive third goal, scored by Morata - a striker crying out for a starting spot time and again reserved for the over-indulged Karim Benzema.
