Games at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu ground will be pivotal in deciding the fate of the 2016/17 league champions as both key contenders, Barcelona and Sevilla have yet to visit the stadium in the Spanish capital this season. The Catalan side (and current LaLiga title holders) visit Madrid on April 23 (20:45 CET kick-off) and Jorge Sampaoli and his in-form Sevilla travel north to face Zidane's men during the weekend of May 13/14 in the penultimate round of fixtures for the current league campaign.
Barcelona come face to face with the other two title contenders in the month of April as Sevilla travel to Camp Nou in match-day 30 (April 4/5) ahead of Barça's trip to the Bernabeu on April 23. Luis Enrique's men face, (at least on paper) an uncomplicated run-in with home games against Las Palmas and Eibar at Camp Nou to close the campaign.
Real Madrid have still to be informed of when their game in hand against Celta Vigo will be played and have what could be considered as the most straightforward run in with an always complicated away game in San Mames the exception. Home games against the traditionally strong sides, Atlético, Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla could also complicate aspirations the club may have in securing what would be their 33rd league title. The last game of the season sees "Los Blancos" head to the Costa del Sol to face Málaga at La Rosaleda.
Sevilla's run-in is similar to that of Real Madrid's but do face the mammoth tasks of trying to secure positive results from the bastions of LaLiga: Camp Nou and the Santiago Bernabeu. Sampaoli's side end their campaign with a home game to the apparently doomed Osasuna at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
