On Wednesday night, Barcelona face PSG and Unai Emery took the chance to rest some of his starters with Edinson Cavani leaving it late to seal a 1-0 win ahead of the Champions League clash with Luis Enrique's side.
Rested and ready
Rabiot, Motta and Marquinhos were all rested from the squad while Drazler and Matuidi were on the bench. PSG were in control but failed to score and needed a victory to kepe pressure on Monaco atop the Ligue 1 table and to set them up nicely for their trip to Spain mid-week.
It was Cavani who struck first and last for PSG as they left it until the 80th minute to win the game. PSG's form is one thing but Cavani, on a personal level, is flying high with 37 goals in 36 games this season. He has scored 26 in 25 in Ligue 1 and has netted seven in seven in the Champions League, including one against Barcelona the last day to put the icing on the cake.
