Griezmann: Atlético Madrid have convinced ace to stay next term

Atlético Madrid are thought to have convinced France international striker Antoine Griezmann to remain at the LaLiga club next season.
Griezmann, who marked his 100th league game for Atlético on Sunday with a brace, is one of Europe's most coveted players and a major Premier League target.
Heavily linked with summer United move
The 25-year-old former Real Sociedad forward has been particularly strongly linked with an end-of-season switch to José Mourinho's Manchester United.
And it's been reported that the Red Devils are ready to hand the forward a bumper deal that would leave him in the same wage bracket as Paul Pogba.
However, 'Le Petit Prince' is a footballer who feels a strong connection with Los Rojiblancos and is extremely settled within the squad and at the club.
Striker is happy in the Spanish capital
Those close to him say he's tired of having to reiterate his happiness at Atlético, where he is challenging for trophies both in Spain and Europe.
And the messages that the Frenchman is sending out in public are the same as those he is giving off behind closed doors.
Simeone staying - and that's good news for 'Grizi'
Griezmann is very happy with coach Diego Simeone's commitment to continuing in the dugout in Los Colchoneros' first season in their new stadium.
If 'El Cholo' was staying, so was 'Grizi'. Atlético's plans for 2017/18 include both.
Griezmann also knows that, if Atleti are allowed to sign this summer, money will be spent on strengthening the squad, particularly in problem areas.
