Rumours of Isco’s possible move across enemy lines from Real Madrid to Barcelona have gained momentum.
On Wednesday, Catalan radio station Rac1 stated that Barça offered the player a ‘sweetener’ of €20 million to run down his contract ahead of a move to Camp Nou in 2018.
Barcelona club director has made contact
Last night, a FIFA agent confirmed to television programme ‘El Chiringuito’ that Isco wants to move to Barcelona.
“Barça have already spoken with Isco. A club director has spoken with the player himself. He has always wanted to play for Barça, and now he has the chance to do so”, revealed Jota Jordi. That said, Jordi added that “it is a complicated transfer.”
Talks have been ongoing for '15 to 20 days'
Josep Pedrerol, the presenter of El Chiringuito, added that “conversations have been ongoing between Barça and Isco for 15 or 20 days. He knows that at Barça, he would get the minutes that he hasn’t been getting at Real Madrid.”
Juventus are also expected to make a move for the Spain international, who is currently with Julen Lopetegui’s squad preparing for the match against Israel on Friday. Last summer, he was poised to join Tottenham on loan, but decided at the last minute that he wanted to stay at the Bernabéu and fight for his place.
