Monaco's Fabinho has told an interview in his native Brazil that it's only a matter of time before club-mate Kylian Mbappé is snapped up by one of Europe's giants.
Teenager Mbappé has proved one of the season's sensations, helping the Principality outfit to the top of Ligue 1 and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and earning a France debut in Saturday evening's win over Luxembourg.
"He'll go...but until then we're going to enjoy him"
And Fabinho explained to media outlet 'Chuteira F.C.': "We know that sooner or later he'll go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, or another club of that calibre.
"But until then we're going to enjoy him at Monaco," continued the 23-year-old midfielder, who himself made one appearance for Real's senior side during a season-long loan spell with Los Blancos' 'B' team, Castilla, in 2012/13.
Fabinho heaps praise on "tremendous" Mbappé
"Mbappé's tremendous," Fabinho added. "For an 18-year-old, he has such maturity both on and off the pitch. He's playing a decisive role and scoring lots of goals.
"For someone his age playing in the level of competitions that we're playing in, that's not easy. And I haven't even mentioned how quick he is..."
