Roma are set to challenge Sevilla for the services of Jesús Navas, who is expected to leave Manchester City this summer after four years in the Premier League.
Navas' opportunities under Pep Guardiola have become increasingly limited in 2017, the winger making just two league appearances since the turn of the year.
Navas a free agent at end of season
The 31-year-old World Cup winner is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium at the end of June, and has suitors in LaLiga and elsewhere in Europe.
Sevilla, where Navas spent ten successful years in the first team after graduating from the Sánchez-Pizjuán youth ranks, are favourites for his signature.
However, Roma are believed to have joined the race for Navas, and are preparing to make the player a sizeable offer to choose Italy over Seville.
