Manchester United are readying a sensational summer raid for Barcelona forward Neymar, according to a report in the Catalonia-based media on Monday.
"United preparing massive Neymar offer" - Sport
Sport says the Premier League club are willing to smash the world-record fee they paid for Paul Pogba last year by meeting the ace's 200m-euro release clause.
And United would look to tempt the player to Old Trafford with an "offer he can't refuse": annual wages of 25m euros that would make him England's top earner.
Such a pay packet would double the money the 25-year-old striker is currently on at Barça, having signed renewed terms at the Camp Nou last October.
Neymar not convinced by United
However, Sport adds that Neymar, who has been at Barcelona since 2013, harbours doubts about such a move - particularly with Champions League football far from a guarantee at the Red Devils next season.
United sit fifth in the Premier League, four points off the top four, although they can also qualify for the continent's elite competition by winning the Europa League.
José Mourinho's men take on Belgian outfit Anderlecht in the quarter-finals of Europe's second-tier club tournament in April.
Follows talk of Chelsea deal
Sport's report comes on the back of recent claims in Tuttosport that fellow English side Chelsea have agreed to pay Barça 180m euros for Neymar's services.
