Back to Madrid
Raúl González Blanco was among the guests at the celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Ramón Mendoza supporters' group. The former Real skipper, who accompanied Florentino Pérez, Pepe and Nacho, confirmed that he would be coming back to live in Madrid and was planning to work at the club in some capacity: "In June I'm coming back to Madrid to live. My next step and my aim is to work at Real Madrid. We'll be talking over the coming months about how I can contribute to this project. I want to play a small part and offer my experience to Madrid and Florentino".

Hala Madrid
Raúl also wanted to send out a message, particularly to anyone doubting his commitment to the club: "Hala Madrid. And for the doubters, only Madrid!"
Role yet to be defined
Raúl is due to leave his post as LaLiga Country Manager in May, opening the door for a position at Real Madrid, although it remains to be seen in what capacity. The former Spain striker is believed to be keen on a more hands-on, Valdebebas-related role, although there has been no indication as to whether that means working from the dugout with one of the teams from La Fábrica or as a scout. Another option would be working as an advisor to Florentino Pérez.
