Layhoon Chan will leave her role as president of Valencia CF. It is now official following her letter of resignation to the club and she will depart on 1 July 2017, at the end of the current season. The person to succeed her in the role is Anil Murthy, currently an executive advisor at the club who joined around six months ago.
Layhoon Chan and Valencia to part
Valencia will hold a press conference later this afternoon to announce a number of changes to the executive layer, with the most important being the confirmation of Layhoon Chan's departure, as was revealed by 99.9 Valencia Radio. The current president had met with the directors in each area of the club to inform them of the change.
The club released a statement to this effect earlier today:
Ms. Lay Hoon Chan has served as the Chairwoman of Valencia Club de Futbol, S.A.D. and has been its President since July 1, 2015.
