LaLiga week 38 dates and times: Real Madrid, Barcelona play last

LaLiga confirms 2016/17 season week 38 dates and times

The fixture schedule has been announced for the 38th and final round of matches in the 2016/17 Primera División season
Barcelona vs Valencia: Copa del Rey semi-final 17/18

LaLiga has announced the kick-off times for the final round of fixtures of the Primera División season, to be played between Friday 19 and Sunday 21 May.

Barcelona, Real Madrid play on Sunday at 20:00

Title rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona will close out the 2016/17 LaLiga campaign, with both in action at 20:00 CEST on the Sunday evening.

Current leaders Barça are at home to Eibar, while Real - who are level on points with the Catalans but still have a game in hand - are at Málaga.

European places sorted out on Sunday at 16:45

The teams battling it out for LaLiga's Champions League and Europa League slots are in action earlier that day, with four games scheduled for 16:45.

Third-placed Atlético host Athletic Club, who are in sixth, and Sevilla, who occupy the final Champions League berth, face Osasuna in Andalusia.

Villarreal, presently lying in fifth position, travel to Valencia and seventh-placed side Real Sociedad take on Celta Vigo at Balaídos.

Teams fighting relegation feature on Saturday at 17:00

The relegation dogfight sees three fixtures scheduled for 17:00 on the Saturday: Deportivo La Coruña-Las Palmas, Sporting Gijón-Real Betis and Leganés-Alavés.

Deportivo, Leganés and Sporting are all tussling to avoid being the final team to lose their top-flight status this term, with Granada and Osasuna already down.

Granada begin the matchday on the Friday night with a home match against mid-table Espanyol, who also have nothing to play for.
