The demand for tickets from the Santiago Bernabeu faithful is notably lower than both recent finals in Milan (2016) and two years previously in Lisbon.

Today is the last day for Real Madrid club members to request tickets for the Champions League final against Juventus which will take place in Cardiff on June 3rd.

Prohibitive cost

The club have confirmed that less than 12.000 match ticket requests have been received from supporters to date. This constitutes a drop from the quantity of fans who requested tickets for last year's Milan final (16,000) and half that of the 2014 Lisbon where more than 24,000 supporters requested tickets. The cost of travelling to the Welsh city and the expensive accommodation prices have been cited as factors in hindering interest from the Real Madrid fans.

Real Madrid fans

Real Madrid have been allocated 17.518 tickets for the June 3 final and 14.645 of those will go to supporters and Real Madrid fan-club members. Tickets for the biggest game in European club football are nominative and non-transferable. In the case should demand outstrip supply for Madrid fans, then a draw will be used as the determining factor in allocating the tickets.
