Eduardo Berizzo will be the next coach of Sevilla. The Argentinian has agreed to take over from Jorge Sampaoli as coach of the LaLiga outfit and now just needs to sign his contract to finalise the move. The former Celta coach met Óscar Arias, sporting director at Sevilla, on Friday to thrash out the details of his contract, and it's expected to be announced at the start of next week.
Berizzo to step in for Sampaoli
After Sampaoli's departure was confirmed, Sevilla are getting ready to bring in their new coach and start planning signings for next season. Berizzo was always the favourite to take over the role and was chosen over other coaches including Pellegrino and Gracia.
Champions League play-off first up
Berizzo's first challenge will be the play-off round games in August to qualify for the Champions League group stages.
