Álvaro Morata's agent Juanma López continues to raise doubts over whether the striker will continue or not at Real Madrid next season. López stated today that Morata could quit the Bernabéu in search of more regular playing time with other teams. "Álvaro wants a more prominant role. He wants to be more important within the team - he wants to play more. It's obvious for a player who has scored 20 goals in all competitions last season", he told fichajes.com.
Agent has "no idea" whether Morata will continue at Madrid
When asked directly whether Morata would be at Real Madrid next season, the agent replied: "I don't know. It's been a brilliant season - Real Madrid have won a lot of trophies. Álvaro will make a clear, definitive decision in the next few days. I still haven't met with the club's directors to talk it over".
López did confirm that AC Milan haven't given up hope of taking Morata back to Italy, although they would need to fight off competition from numerous clubs around Europe. "Milan were interested and they still are - but then so are a number of top clubs in Europe - it's hardly surprising for a player of his calibre. We haven't received any offers from France. We'll see. He doesn't want to go through another season like the last one. It was a great season, but he wants to play more", he concluded.
