Soon-to-be Real Madrid player Theo Hernández has told reporters in the USA that his forthcoming arrival at the Bernabéu is the realisation of a childhood ambition.
After proving a revelation on loan at Alavés last term, the Atlético Madrid left-back is set to join Real this summer, with Los Blancos meeting his 24m-euro release clause.
The deal for Theo is yet to be confirmed by either club, but - as AS revealed earlier in June - will be made official when Atleti receive payment of the buy-out figure.
"I'm really looking forward to next season"
And, speaking at the launch of a sports camp in LA on Tuesday, he confessed to 'Los Angeles Sports Today' that playing for Real has been a dream "since I was little".
"I'm really looking forward to next season, I'm excited about playing with the best players in the world," the 19-year-old Frenchman added.
"I've just got to keep on working and fighting hard."
