Ronaldo will not finish Confed Cup with Portugal

Ronaldo will not play for Portugal in the third-place-play-off, against the loser of Germany v Mexico. He released the following statement:

“I have been on national team service, as always, in body and mind, while in the knowledge that my two children had been born. Unfortunately, we have not achieved the sporting objective we set out to meet, but I am sure that we’ll keep making the Portuguese people happy.”
