Luis Muriel arrived in Seville's Santa Justa train station shortly after 16:30 hours this afternoon to complete his historic transfer to Sevilla. The Andalucians will break their own club transfer record in signing the 26-year-old Colombian centre-forward, who joins on a 20 million euro deal from Sampdoria, who will rake in 20% of any future fee should Sevilla decide to sell the player on.
Sevilla set Muriel's buy-out set at 50 million euros
Muriel's retention clause will also be a new club record - anyone wanting to buy him out of his contract during its five-year duration will need to pay Sevilla 50 million euros. The Colombian sure is the star summer signing for Eduardo Berizzo and Óscar Arias. Midfielder Éver Banega also arrived in Sevilla on a train from Madrid on Sunday. The Argentinean is back at his old club after one season with Inter Milan, Sevilla recovering him for a reported nine-million euros.
