James Rodriguez has won his first trophy as a Bayern Munich player. The Colombian player made his debut for Ancelotti's side as Bayern secured the Telekom Cup this afternoon with a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen. The former Real Madrid player was fielded in a right sided position and linked up well with striker Müller.
The pre-season tournament is a one day affair with four teams playing games of 45 minutes. Bayern made it through to the final after a Robert Leandowski goal was enough to see off Hoffenheim with Werder seeing off hosts Borussia Mönchengladbach in a penalty shoot-out in the other semi..
James played for the full 45 minutes of the final and forced the Bremen keeper into action in the 15th minute with a long range effort.
Thomas Müller and Juan Bernat were on target for the Bavaroian outfit and in a post match interview James claimed that "he felt good and was anxious to fine tune his fitness level".
