Another step forward, a new challenge. Today, in Qatar, AS Arabia is born, the platform that Diario AS will use to disseminate the best sports news to Arab readers. It’s a new venture, with AS (a leading sports newspaper with a global audience of 7,789,000 unique users according to data from comScore from June 2017), joining with Dar Al Sharq, one of the news leaders in the Arabian Gulf.

AS Arabia will be delivered to 25 countries in the Middle East and the North of Africa. It is an exciting challenge that will help in the consolidation of AS’ international coverage and expansion. Sport, from further afield than ever, has never been closer.

"As a result of this alliance, between two of the industry leaders in their respective areas, the goal is one of excellence. AS Arabia will be a global media powerhouse, destined to become leader of sports news," said Manuel Mirat, the CEO of Prisa.

"Readers will see a site in classic Arabic that provides the most relevant sports news from around the world. What's more, all the most important sports news will be covered from the Champions League to the Premier League, the NBA, Formula 1 and everything else," said AS Editor, Alfredo Relaño.

In short, every sport and the best in the world will be covered to entice you to click. And as if that wasn't enough, there is a very important date on the calender with the World Cup taking place in Qatar in 2022...
