Odegaard to continue at Real Madrid
The young midfielder says he has agreed new termns with Madrid but didn't go into detail. When asked about his contract, which is due to expire next summer, he replied with a smile: “My contract probably won't run out in 2018. I've extended my contract but I don't want to say much more on the subject right now”.
Ødegaard joined Real Madrid from Strømsgodset in the 2015 winter transfer window with a reputation as one of the most promising players in Europe. He spent his first few months playing in Zidane's Castilla side although he was registered in Madrid's Champions League squad. He made his first team debut in May of that year, coming on as a substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo in the 7-3 win over Getafe in the final league game of the season.
