Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas joined Zidane to preview tomorrow's visit from APOEL in the opening group stage match of the Champions League.
Madrid going for third straight Champions League
What is Real Madrid's objective in this edition of the Champions League?
It's a great tournament for all of us to be involved in and we're looking forward to battling in every game we play, always with respect for our rivals and the objective is to lift the trophy again. We'll be giving everything we've got to win it.
What is is like to have Cristiano back in the team?
It's always good to have the best player in the world out on the pitch. He has the chance to play tomorrow and that's good news for us because he's been out for the last two games.
Having completed the pre-season must have helped you to get to peak form?
Being able to train in the pre-season is a huge help. Starting to work from zero along with my team mates will set me up nicely for the new campaign.
Cristiano is an example to the Real Madrid squad
How has Cristiano seemed to you while he's been out and unable to play?
He's fine. He's an example to all of us. He always works very hard and pushes himself to the limit. So he'll be back at 100% when he's ready to return to the team.
What qualities does Cristiano bring to Madrid?
When he's on the pitch we always score a lot of goals. Every game is different but the drive and ambition he brings to the team is very important for us.
What do you think of APOEL' Mexican keeper Raúl Gudiño?
We really do our homework thoroughly with Luis [Llopis] before every game and I'm sure that we'll take a good look at videos of him so that he doesn't surprise us.
