Mounting problems for Zidane who learned this morning that left-back Marcelo Vieira is facing between three and four weeks on the sidelines. The bad news was delivered by Doctor José González after tests on the player's left leg revealed a Grade II tear to the hamstring - and injury which Marcelo picked up during the midweek game against Betis. The defender was replaced by Lucas Vázquez in the 72nd minute of the game.

Marcelo will miss the league games against Alavés, Espanyol, Getafe as well as the Champion League meetings with Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur.
Several Madrid players to miss Alavés trip
Real Madrid confirmed Marcelo's hamstring injury in a medical report later on Friday. Zidane is now without both of his natural left-backs as Theo Hernández is out after dislocating his right shoulder. Madrid's walking wounded include: Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos, Mateo Kovacic and Jesús Vallejo - all of whom will miss Saturday afternoon's game against Deportivo Alavés in Vitoria.
