Duth official Björn Kuipers has been selected by UEFA to referee Tuesday's Group H Champions League tussle between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid at Signal Iduna Park (20.45 CEST ko). Aleksei Kulbakov will be in charge in Seville as the Andalusian side welcome Maribor NK to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

The last time 44 year old Kuipers last oversaw a game involving the Santiago Bernabeu outfit was in Lisbon for the final of the 2013-14 Champions League where "Los Blancos" overcame city rivals Atletico in extra time.
Kuipers also oversaw the game in Dortmund when the Bundesliga side swept away Real Madrid in a 4-1 win in the 2012/13 semi final first leg.
