"Hello everyone, I have some news for you all," the 26-year-old wrote, "To become a professional footballer, I had to get past a lot of obstacles, and I never lowered my arms. Today I'm a dad to a little girl, Mia, and I have to transmit my human and sporting values to young people."
He continued, "When I was young, I would have loved to read a series inspired by the story of Beckham or Zidane. For that reason, I share with you my children's series 'Goal'. I hope you like it."
Six books will be published by February 2019
The editor, Michel Lafon, explained to AFP that the series will consist of six volumes of 160 pages, which will be published between now and February 2019. The first of those will go on sale on October 12 and will cost €10.95.
The protagonist of the series will be a boy called Tony Grizi, and the books will be aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 12.
