Last week it emerged that Galatasaray are keen to bring back their former captain Arda Turan, and reports from Turkey today claim that the Premier League could be the midfielder's next destination. CNN Turkey report that Arsenal have made contact with Arda's agents - possibly with a view to bring the midfielder on board during the January transfer window. CNN says that it's a proposal that both Barcelona and the player are open to.
It's clear that Arda has few options of winning over Valverde and the possibility of returning to the Turkish Süper Lig has been put on the back burner after Arda was seen grinning when he was subtituted during last week's 0-3 defeat to Iceland which left Turkey out of next year's World Cup finals. It seems that Wenger has faith in the 30-year-old and sees him fitting into his scheme with Arsenal while the chance to play in the Premier League is an appetizing one for Arda.
