Mauricio Pochettino guides his Tottenham Hotspur side to the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night to take on Real Madrid at the top of Group H. The Argentine has already declared he has a soft spot for Zinedine Zidane as a player and now has one for him as a coach, he was similarly affectionate in his praise for Isco.
"Every manager wants to sign the very best and he is one of the best players in the world," said Pochettino when quizzed on whether he would like to sign the Spanish midfielder.
"He is one of the best in the world. I have seen him at different clubs and his creativity is simply outside of the norm. He is at the stage now where he is fully matured. His magic is plain to see," he continued.
The spotlight will be on Harry Kane and Ronaldo, who have both scored 43 goals in 2017, but Isco's value to Real Madrid is increasing every time he steps on the field and based on how Pochettino sees the 25-year-old, he might feel it necessary to devise a plan to stifle his influence on Tuesday night.
