Since his return to Barça, Gerard Deulofeu has been used as a standby option to give Ernesto Valverde extra options in attack, but the 23-year-old still has many admirers in Italy who remember him from his brief spell with AC Milan. According to the Daily Mail, Deulofeu is on Juventus' agenda and the Italians are preparing to open contact with Barça with a view to bring Deulofeu in during the January transfer window.
Valdeverde would block Deulofeu move
However, it's a highly ambitious plan, if not an impossible one. There is no way Valverde will allow Deulofeu, one of the forwards he regularly uses to resolve Barça's more complicated games, leave - especially halfway through the campaign. Barcelona value him for being a home-grown player who came through the youth academy and who is showing that he is up to the task of playing alongside Messi and Luis Suárez. Deulofeu has yet to feature in Barcelona's Champions League campaign but once he makes an appearance, he would be up-tied if Juve were successful in luring him away.
