Four of Spain's premium golfers give their thoughts on the Valderrama course, the venue for this week's European Tour.

Sergio García

"I love Valderrama. It's always a pleasure and an honour to play here. The greens are tiny and you have to be really accurate, otherwise you pay for it. Everyone knows this is a special course for me".

Olazabal

"It's a tricky, demanding course. I remember the Ryder Cup in 1997, which was very special. as was the Volvo Masters. This place is always really well kept, and has amazing conditions".

Jon Rahm

"I doubt any rookie has ever done well here. I'll be more experienced when I go back. Nothing's easy here; every hole is difficult. This is a course with a lot of history; my father came here in 1997 for the Ryder Cup and became a golf fan. I was only three years old".

Larrazábal

This is my favourite course by some distance. There are three aspects of Valderrama I really like: playing in southern Spain, the difficulties of the course and doing damage by playing to par or under. Unfortunately, it's not common on the European Tour".
