Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media before his side take on Real Madrid at Wembley on Wednesday night. The Spanish manager says he is confident that Kane should be able to play and hinted that his side will not be shackled against the might of Real Madrid.
Harry Kane: "We are confident that he can play but I can not say 100% until tomorrow. There is one day left until the game and yesterday and today he has shown signs of improvement. But we can also beat Real Madrid without him. That is what we aim to do, whether Harry is on the field or not."
Ronaldo and Kane: "They are two incredible players. We have to show respect for what Cristiano has done through the years and continues doing. For me, Harry is one of the best new players in the world, if not the best, and I would not swap him for anyone."
An exam against Real Madrid. "We always want to win and show that we can manage the pressure. We must play with freedom and enjoy the game. In the last fifteen days, we have played Real Madrid, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United. We have to show we are prepared. Tomorrow, we will do the same again. Every game is a chance to examine ourselves.
The loss to Girona: "I don't need to talk about Real Madrid. It's impossible to compare this game to the Champions League. It's not easy to win every game when you look at the teams you know they are very good."
A good moment to play Real Madrid: "I will let you know after the game. Sometimes, it is better to play them after a loss and sometimes they can be relaxed and confidenct. We can only worry about ourselves. This game will be nothing like the one in Girona. We can only analyse the game they have played in the Champions League and 15 days ago in the Bernabéu. Madrid have the ability to change entirely in a day or two
